Course overview

This Entry Level 3 course is designed for anyone who wishes to continue developing their experience of land-based subjects. So if you really love working with animals and the countryside, driving tractors, growing plants or outdoor adventure and sport, this is the ideal course for you.

The course provides opportunities for in-house and external work experience situations. Hands on working on the college’s farm, taking part in lambing and calf husbandry.You will be based in the safe and friendly environment of Greys Loft the Centre for Foundation Studies, learn subjects and develop skills that can help you get a job or carry on your education. Plus you can relax and socialise in small groups as you develop your social skills within the wider college community. We will work with you, your parents, carers and schools to ensure we are able to offer you the best support.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements, but you should be able to show that you can work at Entry Level 2. You must have a desire to work outdoors in a variety of practical land-based subjects. We will also need full details of special educational needs and any other reports from relevant bodies or establishments to ensure that we are able to put in place the correct level of support for each individual learner.
