Whether you’re coming from Weymouth, Dorchester, East Dorset or further afield, Coastland College offers a range of travel options to help you get to campus safely and affordably. You can choose to travel by public bus, train, car, bike, or use our dedicated student bus routes.

Ways to travel to Coastland College

Public Transport (Weymouth Campus)

Weymouth Campus is well connected by public bus routes and rail links, including services from Yeovil, Poole and Bournemouth.

Students who live more than five miles from Weymouth Campus can purchase a subsidised public bus pass through the College during enrolment. These passes:

  • Cover 11 months of travel
  • Can be used 7 days a week, including for non-college journeys
  • Must be paid in full (no instalment plans available)
  • Are non-refundable

Public bus pass prices for 2025/26:

  • Weymouth Plus Pass (11 months): £697
  • Dorset Pass (11 months): £853

Public Transport Terms

  • Bus service bookings are on a first come, first served basis
  • Bookings are for the entire academic year
  • Passes are non-refundable even if journeys are not taken
  • Passes remain valid even if a student withdraws from their course
  • Students are responsible for getting to the bus stop five minutes before departure
  • Routes may be adjusted with notice
  • Normal College Behaviour Policy and Transport Code of Conduct apply at all times

Lost property

All lost property found on College buses is handed to Coastland College staff.
