Safeguarding, Support & Wellbeing

At Coastland College, your safety and wellbeing come first. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, respected and supported – every day.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. From our dedicated Safeguarding Team to every member of staff, we work together to promote a culture of safety, inclusivity and care across both campuses.

Whether you’re worried about yourself or someone else, we’re here to help.

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means making sure everyone feels safe, respected and supported – always. This includes:

  • Protecting you from abuse, neglect or exploitation
  • Promoting your health, safety and wellbeing
  • Providing support if you’re experiencing harm or are at risk
  • Ensuring you know how and where to get help

Our approach includes physical safety, emotional wellbeing, online safety, equality and inclusion, and much more. We also take our responsibilities around Prevent (protecting individuals from radicalisation and extremism) very seriously and ensure all staff are trained and vigilant.
