Safeguarding, Support & Wellbeing
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means making sure everyone feels safe, respected and supported – always. This includes:
- Protecting you from abuse, neglect or exploitation
- Promoting your health, safety and wellbeing
- Providing support if you’re experiencing harm or are at risk
- Ensuring you know how and where to get help
Our approach includes physical safety, emotional wellbeing, online safety, equality and inclusion, and much more. We also take our responsibilities around Prevent (protecting individuals from radicalisation and extremism) very seriously and ensure all staff are trained and vigilant.
Anonymous Reporting
Do you have a concern you’d like to report anonymously? Even if you’re unsure if it’s a safeguarding issue, it’s always best to report it.
Please email safeguarding@coastland.ac.uk or call 07850 929 540 (Weymouth Campus) or 07500 661 340 (Kingston Maurward Campus).
