New Students

Starting college is an exciting step, and we’re here to make sure you feel confident, prepared and supported every step of the way.

Whether you’ve already applied, accepted your place or are still exploring your options, this page brings together the key information you’ll need as a new Coastland College student.

Applying to Coastland College

How the application process works:

  1. Explore your options
  2. Apply online
  3. Interviewing
  4. Receive your offer
  5. Enrolment

Explore your options

Browse our courses online and think about what you enjoy, what motivates you and where you’d like your future to go. You can also attend one of our Open Events to find out more, explore our campuses and ask questions.

If you don’t meet the exam grades needed for your offer – don’t worry, we’ll do out best to find a suitable course for you.

If you need support at any stage, our friendly Student Engagement team is here to help.

Uniform, Kit & Equipment

Some courses require specific clothing or equipment (for example: chef whites, steel-toe cap boots, art materials, hairdressing kits or outdoor clothing). Your course tutor will give you a clear kit list well before you start.

If buying equipment feels worrying, please remember that bursaries may be able to help with the cost of kit, clothing or materials.

Financial Support & Bursaries

If you need help with travel, lunches, kit, equipment or childcare, you may be eligible for a bursary. These are funds distributed by the college to help you pay for essentials.

Funds are limited, so it’s a good idea to apply early once you have an offer.
