Entry Requirements

- GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, Maths and Science (or equivalent) or completion of Entry Level 3 Diploma in Basic Construction Skills plus relevant GCSEs or L1 Functional Skills in English & Maths
- You must demonstrate an interest and commitment to study.
- A colour blindness test may be required
Course Structure
Course Description
You will gain skills and knowledge in a wide range of electrical engineering aspects ensuring that you are able to work both competently and safely. You will have the opportunity to utilise the IET On-Site-Guide with some of the units; and also acquire the knowledge of electrical science and principles.For the Level 1 course you will study at the College for three days a week with approximately 60% of the course being theory and 40% practical. It combines lectures, directed study, workshop activities and simulated jobs in the College.
