Bay Studios is a dynamic, vibrant and above all, a highly creative place to work in and study Music, Music Technology, Dance, Acting and Musical Theatre. The two year programme of study aims to provide you with the skills needed to succeed in the music industry or progress to Higher Education. You will become part of a performance company, mirroring current industry practice and producing fully mounted gigs and productions here at the Studios and at other venues in the South West. Course Structure

Course Description

In phases 1 and 2 you will study, rehearse and perform music in a range of styles from pop to jazz. You will also develop your theoretical skills, use computer software to compose and study both music history and the music business. There are extensive opportunities to develop solo and ensemble performance skills as part of the course, including performances on the campus and gigs in the locality. The College has a wide range of dedicated facilities including a 250 seat theatre, 6 ensemble rehearsal rooms, 3 dedicated computer suites and multi-track recording facilities. By the end of phase 3, you will have developed the skills necessary to succeed as a professional in the music industry. Assessment

Achievement of the qualification with suitable grades will enable progression to Higher Education or to employment/self-employment within the industry. Company 3 and the Level 5 HND in Popular Music provides a natural progression for our students.
