Course overview
Delivered through the Adult Learning Centre, this course will provide an in-depth understanding of the application and monitoring of good food safety practice, as well as ensuring that supervisors understand how to implement food safety management procedures.

Please note that learners should only enrol onto this programme if they already hold the Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety.
Course Structure
Course Description
It is recommended that all food environments should have at least one person trained at this level, especially if they have supervisory/management responsibility. It includes the following:
- Introduction to food safety
- Food safety hazards
- Good food safety practices
- Food safety management systems
- Food safety training

Fees: £250
The three-day course is a minimum of 18 contact hours, and will be delivered at the Coastland College Weymouth Campus, Cranford Avenue College site, with free parking available and refreshments and lunch provided. Training can be delivered on site to meet business needs, please contact us to discuss a pre-course assessment of your premises.
A maximum of 16 students are allowed on all training sessions and there is a multiple choice exam at the end of the course. Certificates will be distributed within 10 working days of the end of the course. Although the certificates do not expire, it is recommended that refresher training is arranged at regular intervals and learners keep up to date with changes to policies and procedures to keep their qualification current.
