Entry Requirements
Successful completion of the Level 1 Welding & Fabrication course to a suitable level and relevant Functional Skills.

Course Description
- Working safely in an engineering environment
- Working effectively and efficiently in engineering
- Using and communicating technical information
- Using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)
- Using MMA (Manual Metal Arc) welding equipment
- Using MIG (Metal Inert Gas)
- Using GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) equipment
Assessment
These course will be assessed using on-line exams, practical and theory assessments.
Progression
Welding in specialist areas can lead to an extensive career in:

Completion of level 2 may lead to level 3 qualifications in welding and fabrication, engineering or apprenticeships in welding and fabrication.
