This course is designed for those learners with ambitions for a career in holistic and the Beauty Industry. The aim of this course is to provide you with the knowledge and skills to carry out Reflexology treatments, along with the related theory Anatomy & Physiology required to perform treatments for the purpose of relaxation and stress release for their clients.

Entry Requirements

Completion of an application form and an informal interview/discussion with Beauty Therapy specialists is required prior to enrolment. You may be required to undertake diagnostic tests prior to acceptance on the course.

Course Structure

Course Description

You will learn the basics of this increasingly popular complementary therapy, along with the ability to plan and promote services and advise on after care. You will learn a range of practical skills as well as develop your knowledge of the Industry. Content will include:

  • History of Reflexology
  • The theory and practice of Reflexology
  • Relevant anatomy and physiology
  • Health, Safety and Hygiene
  • Consultation
  • Contra-indications to reflexology
  • Preparing client and the environment
  • Client care and communication
  • Principles and practice of complementary therapies
  • Reflective practice for reflexology
  • Business practice for complementary therapies

There are assignments, case studies and practical assessments to be completed outside of class time.

Assessment

You will be assessed by practical observations, assignments, exams, portfolio and case studies.
