Course Description
A General Farm Worker supports the day-to-day running of farm enterprises, working safely and efficiently under supervision. Animal welfare and risk awareness and prevention are integral to this occupation.
Apprentices learn to:
- Follow health and safety and biosecurity standards
- Handle animals, monitor their health and welfare, and maintain crops
- Carry out routine tasks, from machinery maintenance crops, minimising waste and protecting resources
- Drive farm vehicles with the appropriate licenses
