Working Safely (IOSH)

Course overview

Delivered through the Adult Learning Team, this one-day course is ideal for those wishing to develop knowledge of health and safety issues in the workplace and the legislation and regulations relating to maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.

This course will show learners how their actions in the workplace contribute to safety and health, ensuring that they clearly understand their responsibilities.

  • Introduction to working safely
  • Defining hazard and risk
  • Identifying common hazards
  • Improving safety performance

The one-day course is a minimum of 6 contact hours, and will be delivered at the Coastland College, Weymouth Campus site, Cranford Avenue, with free parking available and refreshments and lunch provided.  Training can be delivered on site to meet business needs, please contact us to discuss a pre-course assessment of your premises.

A maximum of 16 students are allowed on all training sessions and there is a multiple choice exam at the end of the course. Certificates will be distributed within 10 working days of the end of the course.
